Filmmaking has been my passion since the 6th grade, then I later evolved from student body high school video historian to creating professional content for Utah Tech University , then leading a mission video team in Northern California for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Now at Utah Valley University, I juggle roles as UVUSA Videographer, Executive Event Team member, and Residential Community Leader - all while running Riley Shelton Films, where I produce wedding, real estate, and business videos. This constant creation fuels my core strength: post-production. I see editing as the ultimate storytelling tool, where raw footage transforms into compelling narratives.
Beyond campus, I've gained real-world experience on professional sets with Steadfast Film Co and other Salt Lake companies. My focus remains on mastering the art of the edit. I excel at color grading, sound design, and narrative structure, viewing post-production as the crucial phase where emotion is sculpted and stories are truly brought to life. Riley Shelton Films is my platform for this, and I'm driven to refine my skills and deliver exceptional cinematic experiences to my clients.
My goal is to deepen my post-production expertise within UVU’s program, becoming a highly skilled editor. I aim to contribute significantly to Utah’s filmmaking community, using my passion and skills to elevate diverse projects. Every frame tells a story, and I'm dedicated to mastering the craft of bringing those stories to life, one edit at a time.
